The Nursing board issues nursing licenses to qualified and competent persons, and evaluates whether an individual’s practice meets safe nursing standards.
Among other roles, GBNE regulates learning institutions providing nursing education and certification programs. The Board shall prepare and maintain a list of approved schools for both professional and practical nurses whose graduates shall be eligible for licensing.
